Susan M. Schultz

When Tinfish first began publishing experimental poetry from the Pacific in 1995, one of my colleagues wrote to demand “some prose, Susan!” While this new web-based extension of the journal does not offer the direct polemic my colleague yearned for at the outset, it allows Tinfish to expand into the field of critical writing—reviews, essays, polemics, statements of poetics—that have long seemed necessary to our project, but too expensive to fit within the covers of the print journal. So we inaugurate TIN FISH NET, an occasional addition to our “free stuff,” as a way to extend Tinfish’s mission. Please consider sending us Pacific-based work. And by all means, pass this on!
